Mrs. Zawisza is an excellent teacher and a model example of developing and maintaining rapport with her students!
She is always positive unless the situation requires her to be serious
She calls the students by their names and knows a lot about their interests and home life situations
She makes eye contact and is very respectful
She is enthusiastic about every subject as well as when the kids share an answer, thought or idea
She shares personal stories about her own daughters to relate with the kids
She gives really good and positive feedback when the kids are doing something right
She has a sense of humor by doing fun stuff with the kids and using silly voices
She has clear and fair rules and expectations that the students know to follow
She makes sure to talk to all of her students so no one is left out
With that, because of her actions, I can see how much more motivated the students are in class (they pay attention and participate), how trustful they are with Mrs. Zawisza, and how comfortable they are with her and the classroom. I can see the genuine care she has for her students and they can feel it too.
Check out my video of the week relating to teacher rapport!

Now, I would love to share a couple of blogs that I have found and encourage you to follow! The first one is, Live Bold and Bloom by Barrie Davenport! She is a certified coach committed to helping people shift their thinking, create positive new habits, and build lifetime confidence! Her blog is about strategy’s you can do to for personal development, with topics including developing self-confidence and improving self-esteem! From this, I learned how you can write a self-help type of blog and how to write in steps! One blog I read was, "9 Reasons A Positive Attitude Can Keep You Alive", which was very encouraging for me to keep up my own positivity!
The other blog is by Chance Scoggins! He is a Grammy-Nominated, Dove Award-Winning Music Producer and writes about living a brave, authentic and intentional life. I can tell his writing is emotional, powerful and real. From this blog, I was shown how to write from the heart, not to be afraid to tell personal stories, and how to thought provoke your readers. One blog I read was, "Who Do You Think You Are?", I liked the story he shared with it and how it made me think about myself.
