Career Mentorship 1

Click the picture for more information.

In Career Mentorship 1 students gain real world experience while in school! Students explore career possibilities by learning from members of the business community who offer experience and expertise in the student’s career field of interest. They explore post-secondary options and discover how to coordinate personal and career responsibilities. Students complete personal inventories, prepare a resume, practice interviewing, and develop effective communication skills among other life planning activities. Throughout the course students will create a portfolio and presentation of their experiences using technology. This course is flexible and can be worked around various schedules.

For my mentoship,  I will be mentoring a first grade teacher, Mrs. Zawisza, at J.W. Reason Elementary School. By the end of the semester I should have a total of 50 hours of experience, with many teaching, guiding, and leading skills under my belt! I hope to build a better relationship with the Hilliard City Schools District and to be able to use that relationship in the future.
