Q: When are you done with chemotherapy?

It is estimated to end in the Summer of 2018, but of course there could be delays when we have to let my numbers come up or hospitalizations.

Q: What cycle of chemotherapy are you in or did you get a Bone Marrow Transplant?

No, I did not get a BMT and have finished all 5 cycles

of chemo!

Q: How did you get chemo?

First through a central line in my chest, then a PICC line in my arm, and lastly through a Power Port that was surgically placed in my chest under the skin.

Q: Did chemo make you sick?

Yes I experienced a lot of nausea and vomiting, although thankfully the maintenance chemo was not as harsh. There are also many more side effects to chemo.

Q: What hospital do you go to for treatment?

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute or The James for short. It's honestly an amazing hospital with a wonderful staff.

Q: Are you in remission?

YES!!!!!

Q: When were you diagnosed?

February 9th 2016

Q: What were your symptoms? How long were you having them?

I can remember having a loss of appetite and fatigue beginning sometime in November 2015 which progressed with loss of weight and bruising on the legs. Then finally towards the end of January 2016 I got really sick with strep throat/flu symptoms but tested negative at a clinic and was put on steroids for a week. Once off the steroids I was still sick and having night sweats. My lymph nodes around my face swelled up, specifically one underneath my chin to the size of a golf ball overnight, which lead me to my family doctor who also found swollen lymph nodes in my armpit and groin, and an enlarged spleen.

Q: What type of Leukemia do you have?

B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Q: What color ribbon is associated with your Leukemia?
